Linda Wasserman, Publisher of Pelican Press Pensacola, has released books by two of its popular authors. The Canebrake Collection, the eighth book of poetry by Henry Langhorne, the former Poet Laureate of Northwest Florida, was released in April. That was followed closely by War Stories: A Father Talks to His Daughter, by Leanna Conley. War Stories is based on the experiences of Leanna's father who served as a soldier in World War II. The presentation was tailored to help members of Pensacola Young Professionals (PYP) learn the essentials of establishing themselves as credible and influential professionals. The 4-night event, held in conjunction with Pensacola area Toastmasters groups, featured numerous speakers scheduled across two weeks and was held at the Pensacola State College library.
